Looking Back
As I look back to the days and times since my concussion happened, I can see clearly how I accommodated symptoms.
May 2021
Although I'd like to forget about it, I can't discount that for one year prior to my concussion, I was very much dealing with PTSD. Because of that, many symptoms from the concussion, I attributed to PTSD, especially the cognitive challenges.

I have journal entries during this year where I battled anxiety in a major way. Again, I thought it was bc of PTS. I used EFT, journaling and relaxation methods to get through. |

May... Shooter's Ear | |
July, hearing loss | October Hurricane Helene; journaled my concern over personality change |
Adaptations I've made: removing tripping hazzards, don't drive at night, don't trust my backward glance...always turn head and use mirrors switching lanes, stopped focusing on everything except what is directly in front of me. | |
I can tell that my focus is delayed. I no longer look around while driving. |
Here we are now...2025
Currently it is July. This year, I have been progressively getting more and more motion sickness during everyday activities. I use Sea Bands daily while driving, shopping, watching TV and sometimes reading. I can no longer drive for long periods of time (5 hours max in a day). Sunlight, headlights and streetlights feel like laser beams in my eyes and blind me. Sunglasses feel wonderful now, even early mornings with the TV. Covering or closing one eye begins to relieve headaches quickly. I regularly mute the TV for amazing relief, as well as sit in the dark for hours sometimes.
